[Letters From the Labyrinth] Official Brian Keene Newsletter

Hi. I'm Brian Keene, and this is the 135th issue of Letters From the Labyrinth -- a weekly newsletter for fans of my work. Previous issues are archived here.
This past week, I signed and packaged three big boxes of books for my Lifetime Subscribers. They are now making their way across the country to Arizona, and from there they will be mailed across the world the 30 people involved in the Lifetime Subscriber group.
This was something I'd gotten behind on even before my accident, and the accident put me even further behind. One of my main goals for the first half of 2019 was to not only get caught up on shipments, but to also get ahead. Three more big boxes of books will go out in a few weeks.
I also worked on DISSONANT HARMONIES -- my collaboration with Bev Vincent -- and the next Levi novel, INVISIBLE MONSTERS. And a few pages on THE FALL: THE RISING V.
Bryan Smith and I worked on something behind the scenes that we can't talk about. Don't know if it will come to fruition or not, but fingers crossed.
And finally, I wrote and posted a new short story to Patreon. "Through Mirrors Darkly" features both Levi Stoltzfus (my popular occult detective character) and Rogan (the popular barbarian from the BASTARDS series I've written with Steven L. Shrewsbury). Click here to read it.
We announced last week that the 3rd annual Brian Keene Telethon will take place from noon on Friday September 27th to noon on Saturday September 28th at Dark Delicacies in Burbank, CA.
During our first year, we raised $10,000 in 24 hours for the Scares That Care charity. In our second year, we raised $20,000 in 24 hours, again for the Scares That Care charity.
This year, our goal is $30,000 in 24 hours, and for two charities -- one of which will still be Scares That Care, and the other of which will be announced soon.
Given that the first two telethons were on the East Coast (Maryland and Pennsylvania, respectively) we decided to move it to the West Coast this year, so that we could have a different pool of talent to appear on the live broadcast. I have a long history with Dark Delicacies, and it will be very cool to broadcast from their new location.
If you plan on taking your vacation to attend the telethon, here is the store's website. You can look for hotels and such accordingly.
Speaking of Scares That Care, I am pleased to announce the complete guest-author line-up for the 6th annual Scares That Care Charity Weekend, taking place August 2nd through the 4th in Williamsburg, VA. Click here to peruse the official guests. In addition to the guest authors, there will be additional authors throughout the vendor room.
Hardcover, paperback and ebook editions of Темная Лощина (the Russian edition of DARK HOLLOW) are on sale now worldwide. The mass-market paperback is $12.99. The trade hardcovers are $18.99. And the Kindle editions are $4.99. All three feature gorgeous cover art by Chris Enterline. CLICK HERE TO PURCHASE YOUR COPY

Mary and I are about halfway through season 1 of PROJECT BLUE BOOK (streaming now on Amazon Prime). Excellent series — a worthy, superb, thoughtful, character-driven successor to THE X-FILES.
My buddy Christopher Golden has a new book out called THE PANDORA ROOM. There's a free book trailer about it that you can watch by clicking here.
That's it for this week. As always:
PATREON - Where I post new short stories, writing advice essays, two serialized ongoing novels, and behind-the-scenes stuff.
TWITTER - The only social media outlet I still use regularly.
YOUTUBE - Where I'm posting free stuff each and every day.
I'll see you back here next week!
