[Letters From the Labyrinth] Official Brian Keene Newsletter 149

Hi. I'm Brian Keene and this is the 149th issue of Letters From the Labyrinth -- a weekly newsletter for fans of my work. Previous issues are archived here.
This one is arriving in the evening, rather than the usual Sunday morning, because earlier today I was still signing stuff at Creature Feature Weekend in Gettysburg, PA -- a wonderful first-year convention that I hope will continue. They had a nice mix of actors, authors, and other horror celebrities, and I had a great time hanging with the usual group of locals as well as far-away friends like Jonathan Janz who traveled in from the Midwest to sign books.
A lot of folks were disappointed that The Horror Show with Brian Keene's Dave Thomas didn't make it. unfortunately, Dave was admitted back into the hospital on Friday night -- a result of complications from the cancer and his continued bleeding. I will certainly pass along your well wishes to him.
I gotta be honest here, folks. I had a whole newsletter essay in my head about cancer and how I'm fucking sick of it impacting everyone around me, but I'm just too mentally and emotionally exhausted to write about it this evening.
Bottom line...I'm fucking sick of cancer impacting everyone around me, and I would like it to fuck off now, please.

Artist Chris Enterline (one of my personal favorites) has designed this special fundraising sticker for Dave. They cost $2 and are available for the next two days from TeePublic. ALL of the proceeds will go to Dave.
Help if you can. Everybody likes stickers.
Part 2 of my 2+ hour long, career spanning, no holds barred interview with THIS IS HORROR is now live. In this second half, I talk about retirement, other authors, social media, and much more.
Feedback from you folks has been very humbling. Many of you really seem to like this two-part interview, and for that, I thank you.

My new short story collection, A LITTLE SORROWED TALK, is making its way to Night Worms subscribers and to Thunderstorm Books customers. I got my author copies last week, and did a short unboxing video so you can see what they look like.
Rather than embedding the video here and crashing your email, here is a direct link to it on YouTube.

A reminder that my quiet horror novella ALONE is now available in audiobook.
When Daniel Miller wakes up one morning, something has gone terribly wrong. The power is out. The phones are dead. The house is silent. The street is shrouded in fog. Both his partner and their adopted daughter are missing. So are their neighbors. And so is everyone else in the world. Daniel Miller is the last person left on Earth…or is he?
From award-winning, best-selling horror writer Brian Keene comes this quiet, chilling, supernatural short tale, narrated by Scott Weinberg.
