Letters From the Labyrinth 165
Happy holidays! I'm Brian Keene and this is the 164th issue of Letters From the Labyrinth, a weekly newsletter for fans of my work. Previous issues are archived here.
Mary, my 11-year old son and I are having our Christmas this weekend, so I'm keeping things brief today. No long essay this week, I'm afraid. But I hope that each of you have a safe and wonderful week ahead.
Earlier this week, I was informed by Armand Rosamilia of the Project Entertainment Network that The Horror Show with Brian Keene weekly podcast crossed the 100,000 listeners threshold for 2019.
Thank you to everyone who listens weekly, be it via Apple, Spotify, Stitcher, YouTube, or elsewhere. And also thanks to the folks who have given us five-star reviews in those venues. We owe the show’s success to you.
And of course, thanks to co-hosts Mary SanGiovanni, Matt Wildasin, Dave Thomas (we miss you dude — keep kicking that cancer’s ass), and occasional co-hosts Phoebe and Dungeonmaster 77.1. Thanks also to Armand, Shelly, and everyone else at the network.
And thanks as well to all of the guests and folks who have contributed to the show these last five years — everyone from legends like Stephen King, F. Paul Wilson, Jack Ketchum, and Joe R. Lansdale to all the up-and-coming writers, artists, filmmakers, actors and directors we’ve featured. And also to the celebrities from outside of horror who have appeared to express their love of the genre — folks like Geoff Tate, Xander Harris, Discipline Theory and more.
In just a few weeks, the show will head into its sixth year, and we are quickly approaching our 250th episode. We have all kinds of things in store for you in 2020. the best is yet to come!
Thanks again.
I also wanted to let you know that just in time for the holidays, CASTWAYS is now available as an audiobook, and narrated by the great Chet Williamson. Click here to start listening!
Okay, that's it for this week. As I said, we're in the middle of celebrating our Christmas. As always:
PATREON - Where I post new short stories, writing advice essays, two serialized ongoing novels, and behind-the-scenes stuff.
TWITTER - The only social media outlet I still use regularly.
YOUTUBE - Where I'm posting free stuff each and every day.
I'll see you back here next week!
