Letters From the Labyrinth - Brian Keene

Hi. I'm Brian Keene and this is the 234th issue of Letters From the Labyrinth, a weekly newsletter for fans of my work. Previous issues are archived here.
Advance warning. Rather than typing this upstairs on the good wireless keyboard in my office, I'm typing it downstairs with the cracked Toshiba keyboard, so there will be typos.
It's also going to be a short newsletter, because I promised my youngest son we'd play Magic: The Gathering the rest of the afternoon. He got his first dose of the vaccine this week, just a few days after the CDC approved it for ages 12 and up. That was a HUGE relief. My heart goes out to the parents of kids younger than 12. Hopefully, your little ones can get it soon, as well.
Last week was both incredibly exhausting and rewarding work wise. Progress continued on INVISIBLE MONSTERS, THE DRIVE-IN: MULTIPLEX, and PROJECT CASTLE. Progress also continued behind the scenes on two film projects. And we had a Scares that Care board meeting Friday night to discuss the latest guidance from the CDC and how that impacts our charity fundraisers.
Speaking of Scares That Care...
Given that all members of my family, including my youngest son, are now vaccinated, it’s time to head back out on the road again. However, given the fluidity of the now-waning pandemic, I’m not going all in for any extensive, cross-country signing tour. (If you miss me doing that, just read the number one bestelling, Bram Stoker Award nominated END OF THE ROAD, and it will be like you’re on a nationwide tour with me). Also, given the toll the pandemic has had on people, I’m going to stay close to home so that I can be better available for my family members, should they need me.
So, with that in mind, here is where you can get me to sign your books for the rest of this year:
WHAT: Scares That Care Weekend VII
WHEN: July 30th through August 1st
WHERE: Doubletree by Hilton, Williamsburg, VA
DETAILS: As I serve on the Board of Directors for Scares That Care, you won’t find me behind a table, signing autographs. However, I will be in that room, monitoring operations, and am very happy to sign your books and take a photo with you. Just ask! Also in attendance will be Ronald Kelly, Gabino Iglesias, Jonathan Janz, Wesley Southard, Kristopher Triana, Adam Cesare, Matt Serafini, Stephen Kozeniewski, Hunter Shea, Scott Cole, and many more.
WHAT: Creature Feature Weekend
WHEN: August 27th through August 29th
WHERE: Wyndham Gettysburg, 95 Presidential Cir, Gettysburg, PA 17325

WHAT: Harrisburg Comic and Pop Con
WHEN: September 18th and 19th

I hope to see you at one of these, if you can make it.
As for elsewhere, like I said above...I'm doing this sloooooowly. But I suspect, at the very least, that Colorado, California, and New York City might be on tap for 2022.
And that's it for this week. Like I said, a short one. And I think we made it through without typs.
(The 'O' key stuck as I typed 'typos' abve, and I'm leaving it like that, because it amuses me to do so).
Anyway, if the weather is nice where you are, go outside, and enjoy it, and read a book. I'll see you back here next week!
