[Letters From the Labyrinth] Official Brian Keene Newsletter 4/9/17
The audiobook adaptation of GHOST WALK (narrated by Chet Williamson) is on sale now!
There are all kinds of legends about the forests of Central Pennsylvania, and in this sequel to DARK HOLLOW, the truth about those legends is finally revealed.
Halloween is coming, and a new haunted attraction is open for business in LeHorn's Hollow. Folks will come from miles around to walk down the spooky trail and get scared witless. But there's one thing the owners of the ghost walk haven't counted on. There really is something waiting in the woods - a vast, ancient evil whose hunger threatens to consume all life on Earth. Soon, the unsuspecting customers will pay their money and get in line...to die. And only one man, occult detective Levi Stoltzfus, can save them and stop the evil before it is unleashed.
THE NAUGHTY LIST, a short film by Paul Campion, based on my short story “The Siqqusim Who Stole Christmas” has received three nominations in the Austin Comedy Short Film Festival — Best Short Film, Best Ensemble Cast, and Best Music Score (for our super-talented Andrea Possee).
THE NAUGHTY LIST is currently playing at festivals all over the globe. It’s also playing in your home, via YouTube. Watch it for free, and be sure to Like and comment.
Queensryche is my second favorite band of all-time (the first being Faith No More). Their former lead singer, Geoff Tate, is currently on an acoustic tour. Mary and I are meeting up with him this evening to record an interview for my podcast. We get to watch the sound check and then the concert itself.
Pretty cool.
Speaking of my podcast, last week's episode was a Robert bloch Centennial. Stephen King, F. Paul Wilson, David J. Schow, John Skipp, Tom Monteleone, Chet Williamson, Jack Ketchum, Wayne Allen Sallee, Cathy Gonzalez, and Del Howison were all gracious enough to share personal remembrances and anecdotes about him (all of which are either hilarious, heartwarming, or both). My thanks to them for helping us out. Click here to listen for free.

War has come in this sequel to the best-selling novel THE LOST LEVEL. The snake-like Anunnaki have always been a blight for the people living in the hidden dimension known as the Lost Level, but now, the denizens are fighting back. After their community is decimated and their loved ones are enslaved in the aftermath of a devastating Anunnaki attack, Aaron Pace leads a diverse group of warriors — including the bowwoman Tolia, the mighty Karenk, a baby Triceratops, and a time-displaced Ambrose Bierce — on a trek through primordial jungles, dark forests, and a sun-blasted desert while battling pterodactyls, man-eating worms, and other dangers. Can their small band lay siege to the Anunnaki city and rescue their friends, or will they suffer the same cruel fate so many others have before them? Find out in Brian Keene’s RETURN TO THE LOST LEVEL. (Includes a bonus short story!)

That's it for this week. A few reminders:
PATREON - Where I post new short stories, a serialized ongoing novel, and behind-the-scenes stuff.
TWITTER - The only social media outlet I still use regularly.
Take care.
