So far, I finished the first two stories and my mouth was creaked open for each tale. A compliment of the highest, of course. I never saw what was coming with Caroline Kepnes' torrid erotica and Wrath James White's ghetto rape of a different type altogether. I was singing BOC's "Don't Fear the Reaper" in my head with the filter of Mick Garris' incredible opening sequence from The Stand miniseries, which I told him numerous times, including at Horror On Main a couple months back, remains of the greatest scenes of horror I ever saw.

Love that you are like me, not just a metalhead, but diverse in music, all over the place. Helloween, baby! Keeper 2 is great, Keeper 1 is immortal. The Return quite good. Looking forward to hearing their new album that came out this week, but I am stuck on that new Deftones. INCREDIBLE.

Thanks for putting out your honest comments about the writing life and as always, you are spot-on there. Celebrate each win as if they may never come again. That's not arrogance, it's self-preservation.

Finally, what a score of that original EC Weird Science! I only have one original Crypt and Vault and they're in brutal condition. I was in a tailspin of gooey love seeing all of Steve Geppi's original ECs down at his Geppi Museum in Baltimore. EC Comics are my bibles.

Really appreciated this post this morning. Congratulations on all the success with the anthology and thanks for the reminder that getting back to work in spite of the good and the bad is important.

Congratulations on making the bestseller lists.

I’ve been on a tear Rereading a lot of your previous books. The Rising and City of the Dead (I read these every year), Earthworm Gods 1 & 2, Unsafe Spaces, Lost Level 1 & 2 and I just finished The Labyrinth 3 last weekend. I really really really can’t wait until book 4 is released.

Keep up the awesome work Brian. And once again congratulations. You deserve every bit of praise and success you’ve gotten and so much more.
