It's such a shame about Reggie, Phantasm was a defining movie of a depraved and wonderful cinematic childhood. I also wanted to clarify if your zine is US only, and regurgitate how much I (we) miss Scares and what we hopped would be an annual pilgrimage to Williamsburg. I also need to write more things down, being halfway towards the big Six-O this year.
I'm going to send at least the 1st issue overseas. Then I'll take a look at what overseas postage cost me for that, and make a determination from there.
I turned 60 last year and my husband turned 60 last week, so we're familiar with the drawbacks of aging, though I prefer it to the alternative. Aging is not for the squeamish. Neither is "Strange Harvest" which I agree with you was marvelous. I always enjoy "Letters From The Labyrinth" and am looking forward to the coming zine. It will be nice to get something in the mail besides bills and junk.
Stephen Wilson Jr! Man oh man, soooo good! I stumbled upon him in May of 25 and spent a month listening to nothing else. Funny thing is, I've almost suggested him to you a few times but held back, I'm sorry! He's a lyrical poet and his music style is pretty much unmatched. Glad he's gained another fan! I'm thinking Howard just introduced him to a wider audience. He was also born and raised less than two hours from me (a few years younger) making the music feel all that closer to home. I also love his pop culture shout outs especially to Stephen King..
Just got done reading your newsletter, which I read and look forward too every Sunday.
Thank you for your story about Reggie- it was very touching. I'm a fan as well and it is very sad to see this happen to someone who has brought so much joy- at least too me go thru this.
I actually wrote a letter about 6 months back when Gigi officially announced his diagnosis. I don't write letters but I felt compelled to write him one.
I donated to the cause over the past weekend and shared, hoping others will help out as well.
Also-Thank you for suggesting Stephen Wilson Jr. -Holy smokes!
That man is off the chain. His covers of Tonight tonight, stand by me and Hunger strike are absolutely haunting. His original material is also primo.
Wow, you got me in the feels, twice. I've always admired Reggie's presence on-screen, so I appreciate you alerting the community so we can help, however we can. Also, I hadn't seen Chad Savage's artwork since the late 90s/early 00s, when he used to do covers for my fiction mag. Blasts from the past!
That was SUCH an amazing weekend. The place was a ghost town -- everyone went to see Rob Zombie and Marilyn Manson instead -- but an incredibly sumptuous one, with an astounding hedge maze where I spent a lot of quality time with Angela Bettis, Michael Berryman, Howard Sherman (Bub from DAY OF THE DEAD), and everybody else who wanted to get high. Because not only did I bring the Sunday paper, but I was the only guy at the convention with weed (as usual). As such, I was a VERY POPULAR BOY!
And Reggie...oh, Reggie is the fucking best. We had SOOOOO many wonderful jam sessions, mostly at Horrorfind events. Such a fun, kind, luminous soul. I am sending him love. Thanks for letting us know!

Thanks, Brian.

He's frigging AMAZING, right? And yeah, I think that appearance is gonna bump him to a much wider audience.
Check out some Billy Strings if you haven't already. Howard had him on the show last year and became a big fan, even started playing some guitar!
Good morning.

Thanks again.
Take care sir.

Thanks for the information about Reggie. Hopefully, the gofundme reaches its goal. Looks like it is getting close.
So glad you enjoyed Strange Harvest. I watched it last fall and thought it was terrific.
I'm going to check out Stephen Wilson, Jr. From your description, he seems like someone I'd really like.
