Brian, I'll keep your grandma and your dad in my prayers that they recover quickly and without complications. Congrats on the sale of the Rising! When you first mentioned it, my first thought was "Boy, H would love to add that to his collection." Maybe he and your friend Jesus are up there talking books with Chris and all of our friends and writers up there. I'd like to think so. Take good care. Thanks for always keeping us in the loop with the newsletter.
Disco Demolition Night Is today for music and sports history, the chapters of our lives when we think back to who we were in those chapters as the season passed as we were making plans. I’ll bet you never thought you would still be talking about The Rising in 2026 when you wrote it.
I remember the days of sick parents and ailing grandparents. And child going off to further education. In many ways, I miss those days. So much respect for you reprioritizing your time and resources. I understand. It can be hard sometimes. May you have more supporters than whiners.
I'm caring for my 86 year old mother with Alzheimer's while also my wife recovering from foot surgery that's left her immobilized in an "external fixator" device—Google it, it's grotesque, would be perfect in one of your stories/novels if placed, say, on a person's head!—so hearing about who you're caring for helps me feel less alone in this grinding multiple-marathon process. So thanks! And congrats on your fine, one of a kind sale!
You have a lot of responsibilities, and it can't be easy to take care of two generations. 101 years old! But I'd call the sale of your book a success if everyone is happy. Best wishes to you.

Yeah, I thought of H, too. <3

Yay! I've been waiting to see S. P. Miskowski mentioned in your Women of Horror.
Tarzan at the Earth’s Core! ACE mass market paperback with Frazetta cover! One of my favorites. Enjoy!
