Greetings from Mars. I’m Brian Keene and this is the 300th issue of Letters From the Labyrinth, a weekly newsletter for friends, family and fans of my work. Let’s start with a kitten update. In last week’s newsletter, I told you that outdoor cat Josey Wales and her latest litter of eight kittens were going to be rounded up that Monday, and that the kittens would go to the no-kill shelter to await adoption, and that Josey would be spayed, given all her shots, and slowly transitioned into an indoor cat (whom Mary and I intend to keep).
Happy belated Birthday! This may seem like nonsense, but I really look forward to reading these every Sunday morning. Thank you for continuing to do this.
Happy Belated Birthday Brian! Thanks for all of the book news of course but especially thankfully that Josey has made it inside with her last litter of kittens. Thank you (and Mary) for taking the time to care for all of these furbabies. I hope Josey stays inside esp. with winter/bad weather coming. Not only are you a fantastic writer but you're an awesome human being for taking care of cats and all of the charities you help. Wish Chris was here in person to see the Josey saga but he's watching from the other side and smiling.
Happy Belated Birthday!! Mine was last Saturday and I’m working on reviews because I promised myself I’d get two done!! My birthday month isn’t over so wish me luck!! Hugs!!!
Thank you, happy birthday, and great news about Josey Wales!

So happy to hear you got Josey to come inside. She will be well loved.
Josie coming inside is her belated birthday present to you. I'm thrilled to see it (she's one pretty cat, too)!
I'm with Les - this newsletter has become part of my Sunday morning routine. I appreciate it.

Yay go Josey!
And yeah, The Sadness was definitely unsettling for me. It kinda reminded me of They All Died Screaming.
