As always, you capture the curious ups and downs of being around for half a century in ways that are touching and vital. At 55, I can sympathize (and empathize) with so much of it. Thank you for being out there. Okay, carry on.

I look forward to reading Letters with my first cup of coffee on Sundays. I don't start reading until the coffee is ready and I take the first sip as I read the first line. I'm so happy for your son's sale! I remember the first time I had a story published, and it never gets old. I feel stories aren't "real" until someone else reads them. The illusion moves from subjective to objective when someone, anyone else participates. Love, Luck, and Cheers!

Having followed your kindness on our behalf for ages -- and having just freshly arrived here as a Substack troublemaker myself -- I salute this milestone in benevolent badassery. HAPPY ANNIVERSARY, MY FRIEND!!!
