I'm no Swiftie or a Tramp, but I begrudge no one their musical choices. I've always been a New Wave guy and I've been laughed at and insulted all my life for it. To hell with all the snobs.

I'd argue Springsteen =s Keene. You write the kind of characters Bruce sings about. I'd want it no other way. :)

Interesting stuff Brian. Sorry to here about Chase. Good luck with the book store, I'm sure it will be a winner. I enjoyed your thoughts on the boss, but as story telling performers go, you left out a couple of the best in Jim Croce and the recently deceased Gordon Lightfoot. Sure, they were more on the folk side, but being a lover of good story telling lyrics like you, I think they are two of the best. There is no song more hauntingly amazing than The Wreck Of The Edmund Fitzgerald both in music and lyrics in my opinion. Merry Christmas to you and yours!

As to your list of great musical storytellers, I maintain no one painted pictures with words like Mac Davis. But he took a different road so I’m fairly sure he would not be considered a peer of Mr. Springsteen by most.

Loved the stuff about Springsteen. You really nailed his appeal. Guess I'm a Tramp. I've tickets to his show next year that was postponed from September. Really looking forward to it.

I won't say any specifics about Survivor in case you haven't watched yet, but I was rooting for the same two going into the finale. This is the best season in a while and the finale solidified that.
