I love that the Island of the Dead follows the section on rumours of a AuthorCon UK. I was so happy when I got to meet Weston at WHC10 in Brighton (I was promoting the BFS back then). Yvonne & Wes were so happy on the dance floor at thr promanade party, he caught my eye & we started 'throwing shapes', his words. Scary Rednecks and Clickers were two of my favourite paperbacks, & Weston was at least partly responsible for leading me to Delirium & a debut novel called The Rising, along with many other writers I constantly try to keep up with now. Fingers crossed for St Louis, and definitely Williamsburg next year, I freaking love AuthorCon and Scares that Care... Lets fight real monsters!
