I saw Power of the Dog. I didn’t like it much, but I was blown away by Kirsten Dunst’s performance. Her reactions were the cornerstone of that movie. The audience is guided through that movie by her performance. It was marvelous. She is doing her best stuff now. I wish more people noticed.
You're right about the heat. Regardless of what you believe about the climate, the heat has been pretty bad this year and I don't expect it will let up anytime soon. I live in Western Maryland and it really didn't let up until November or so last year. I miss when fall would feel like fall. The crispness of the air, especially.
As for the political aspect. It's just really scary right now. It's hard to know what the truth is versus what's just fear mongering.
