You probably don't remember me, but I've been reading your books since the OG The Rising and first got in touch with you on MySpace, which should give you an idea of how long I've been around. Your words matter to me too. They have for quite awhile now. You are one of the people who convinced me that maybe I could write too. Working on a book now. Surrealist horror type of thing. Anyway, I always find the characters who survive in your work inspiring. One of my favorites is The Conquerer Worm, ie Earthworm Gods. I adore Teddy and Carl. They're both so grounded in a world that, like mine right now, seems to be falling apart. In fact, maybe I'm due to read that again. I think so. I always appreciated the author's notes you used to leave at the beginning of your books. Especially that one. "If you live there, don't look for your house. The forecast calls for rain." As a resident of North Carolina, I can appreciate that one.
Good morning. Whew. I'm still wiping tears away. Very touched by what you wrote. So much so I almost don't know what the hell to say. So I'll just say thank you.
Fango is in fact still around. I just signed up for a subscription a few weeks back. It's not cheap and there are only 4 issues. It's ok, it's more of a coffee table book now. I have a ton of old issues from back in the day and I wasn't super impressed. They do have a Facebook page though. But I agree with a Big fat book like that a bigger announcement needs to be made.
Any way thanks again for another great newsletter. I appreciate it. Take care sir
Thanks for the newsletter, I really enjoyed the personal stories of your fan with cancer (God bless her), your deceased friends and sharing secrets (I do that with Chris!) and yes, I believe in soulmates as Chris was mine. Life goes so fast. We're so busy that we never get the amount of time we want/need with those we love the most no matter how much we try. Maybe that's why there is reincarnation to make up for lost time? I like to think so. I know we will see all of our loved ones again who are not "dead" just transitioned to a different form and waiting for us. It's cool to think that my Chris and all other passed over fans can now chat for eternity with their fave authors on the other side. Hang in there brother and thanks for the newsletter it really makes my Sundays :)
Beautiful newsletter. I know when I mention your name, my wife says you sure do talk about Keene a lot. My 2 oldest boys love your writings. Have you thought about reaching to Gabino since he occasionally writes a column for the NYT? I'll bet he can sneak in those table of contents. Thanks for taking out time for us in St. Louis to chat and sign! I know you were super busy but it meant the world to Will and I.
Very touching newsletter this week, made me think of my Dad, we lost him to cancer in 2015, one of the last things he said to me was ‘I thought I had more time’ , don’t we all?…praying for Christine & her husband ❤️
Your books, words and actions mean a lot to more people than you probably realised... Helen and I were hoping to pop over to Vortex last thursday but we had to book a later flight than we wanted and didn't get into Harrisburg until 11.30pm for the King at 50 Years event. Sadly we had to leave early on Saturday morning to catch a train back to NY in order to catch a flight home. Next year we hope to unfuck this as you are fond of saying. All the best. Martin
A doctorate in Hard Knocks is precious! I can't wait for your next newsletter. Each one is like a glimpse into the vast world of the complex man Brian Keene.

Thank you for the humanity and blessing of sharing with us your time with Christine. I’ve been spiraling into deep doubts about the value of my efforts. This let me breathe. Thank you.

Thanks for sharing all of this. With so much uncertainty all around, it's good to be reminded of the things we can be certain of. Thank you for that.
